- Insert hook underneath first strand of yarn. Catch second strand with hook and pull a loop up underneath first strand.
- Remove fingers from ring and hold working end of yarn.
- Chain 2. (One ch to anchor ring, and one ch as the turning ch for first round.)
- Stitching around ring just created, work as many stitches as called for in first round of pattern. There are 4 sc stitches worked in video example.
- Pull up a long loop. Pull tail to front of piece. Grasping both ends firmly, tighten ring.
- Insert hook into long loop and tighten.
- Making certain tail is to the back, skip first ch sts worked and insert hook into first sc of round.
