Tutorials : Double Crochet
- Chain 3 for your turning chain. Unless otherwise indicated in your pattern, this counts as the first stitch of your row/round.
- Turn fabric (if crocheting in rows, no turn needed if crocheting-in-the-round).
- Yarn over and insert hook into second stitch from edge.
- Yarn over and draw loop through stitch.
- Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook.
- Yarn over and pull through remaining 2 loops on hook. Voilà! First double crochet stitch made.
- For following stitch, yarn over and insert hook into next stitch.
- Repeat steps 4 - 6. Second stitch made.
- For the last stitch in the row, the hook is inserted into both top loops of the uppermost chain (of the turning chain of the previous round).
